Expect Miracles 5k GOING VIRTUAL

✨ANNOUNCEMENT✨

Due to the current social distancing restrictions, we have decided to convert the Expect Miracles 5k to a virtual 5k. Even though COVID-19 is here, Batten Disease did not disappear. Batten Disease persists no matter what else is going on in the world. It affects Cecilia and Lilly every moment of every day. 💜❤️

🏃‍♀️🚶‍♂️A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on a treadmill or track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace. The Expect Miracles 5k race day will still be on May 31, 2020, and we would love to see everyone out in their own neighborhoods completing their fun run. 🚶‍♀️🏃‍♂️

📬Please join us by registering for the 2020 Expect Miracles 5k virtual fun run. All race shirts, bibs, and swag will be mailed to you prior to the May 31st race day, so that you can wear your Expect Miracles shirt when you complete your run.📬

🎈💛This event was a magnificent success in 2019. It was a community builder. It raised over $36,000 for CLN3 Batten disease. It was a tremendous display of love and support for the Fries family. We want to continue this event, and let it be a reminder to our community that together we can still do amazing things, even with different challenges.

🚐We have a goal to raise at least $25,000 to go towards a new van for the Fries family to accommodate the increasing challenges that Batten Disease brings. You can help by sharing your fundraising page and you will be rewarded with awesome swag items 🕶🧦🧢💼 for each fundraising level reached.
